concert karma

my other entries have been pretty depressing. I am here to talk about good things.

mina and I were trying to figure out how to get tickets to metal mayhem. it's become a bit of a tradition. this would be the third. last week, erik wanted me to go to amoeba for a moment to get some new music. as we were checking out, I noticed a poster to win a pair of tickets. so, I entered. the next day, I got the call that I won them. yes! excellent. lawn, not as excellent. tickets!

blueberry pancakes. perfect perfume sample. movie-despicable me 3D. h+m (jeans for draggon, cotton+linen black shorts and some socks for me). phone drama. need it for later.

happy birthday party for larissa! beautiful place, derek and windy. in marin. great people. yummy pizza and mojitos and ceviche! got there around 3. kids playing in the woods with other kids. mary was leaving early and going to the city. yes! at 4:20. thanks for the ride.

mina meeting me in the marina. the shoreline 6:30. perfect parking space for coming and going.

metal mayhem!
5 finger death punch. lawn. super muffled sound. located the best viewing spot. the sound wasn't quite so bad there. mina ate chicken fingers. scary hoodie for dylan. lamb of god. they were really good. don't like their name much, though.
helmut lang heels. sliding down the ramp from the lawn. no traction, leather soles. funny.
extra flat shoes, too. extra fashion and layers. pretty organized. it got cold later.
saw jim! phone call. thanks. just what we were hoping for.

rob zombie! love joey jordison (of slipknot. hardcore.), he was sitting in the fog and hard to see. the guitarist's hair was fantastic.
korn! loved watching the singer. the band kicked ass. excellent!
an amazing day.
